Keep in Touch

If you’re a BALB alumni and haven’t heard from us lately, send us a note with your name, mailing address, phone number, email address, and information on your BALB history (playing years and teams). We’ll add you to our alumni list and keep in contact.

We’re also interested in receiving BALB memorabilia such as photographs, newspaper clippings, and historic tournament programs. If you send photographs, please identify the location and approximate date of each item, along with the names of any persons pictured.

Hall of Fame

Started in 2002, the Ed Bayne Hall of Fame honors BALB alumni (individuals and teams) who exemplify the high ideals of Coach Ed Bayne, who led the Billings Royals for two successful stints totaling 26 years. Annual inductions take place at the BALB annual spring Hall of Fame Banquet/Auction. All alumni are invited to attend. If you aren’t receiving invitations to the annual banquet, contact Sam Studiner.

Professional Baseball Players

More than forty BALB alumni have gone on to play in professional baseball organizations, with four players going on to Major League Baseball. Our most famous alumnus is Dave McNally, who hit a grand slam in the 1970 World Series while pitching for the Baltimore Orioles.
